World Bank intends to provide more loans for Brazil WASHINGTON, Aug. 9 (Xinhua) -- The World Bank announced Friday that it intends to increase lending to Brazil by up to 2 billion US dollars as a strong support for Brazil's economic policies.

"After discussions with Brazilian authorities today, the World Bank confirmed its strong support for Brazil's sound economic policies," said a news release from the lending institution Friday.
