Roundup: US economy remains on track despite terrorist attacks

WASHINGTON, Sept. 6 (Xinhua) -- Although some people became
direly pessimistic about the future of the US economy when the Sept.
11 disaster jolted the country, it turns out that as the first
anniversary of the worst terror attacks in US history approaches,
the US economy still remains on track despite the attacks' serious
impact.
When the twin towers of the World Trade Center in New York were
demolished into ruins by terrorist attacks and when the Wall Street
stock market plummeted in panic for days, some people had predicted
that the US economy, which had already been struggling in a
