UN chief leaves for Botswana after working visit to Angola

LUANDA, Aug. 27 (Xinhua) -- Unite Nations Secretary General Kofi Annan left here Tuesday for Botswana after a two-day working visit to Angola.

During his stay in Angola, Annan said the world leaders were ready to work hand in hand with the Angolan authorities towards the consolidation of the ongoing peace process.

Annan reaffirmed the world body's support for the national reconstruction and rehabilitation of Angola.
