Asian Games volleyball preview: Chinese Taipei no longer an underdog

BUSAN, Sept. 26 (Xinhua) -- Triggered by its landmark bronze medal victory four years ago in Bangkok, Thailand, Chinese Taipei volleyball team vowed to advance further more at the forthcoming Asian Games in Busan, South Korea.

Chinese Taipei brushed aside Asia's traditional powerhouse Japan to finish, for the first time, the third place at last Asian Games in Bangkok. The victory came as a tremendous inspiration to the team which is expecting to fly even higher this time when the Asian Games volleyball competitions begin on October 2, since best ever opportunity is unfolding ahead.
