Loose ends present no obstacle to return of UN inspectors, Blix says

UNITED NATIONS, Oct. 15 (Xinhua) -- Chief United Nations arms inspector Hans Blix on Tuesday said there exist some "loose ends" to be settled with Iraq on the practicalities of starting arms inspection, but none was serious enough to delay deployment of inspectors.

"The Iraqis have written us two letters, maybe we will get a third one which would clarify the last points," Blix told reporters after briefing the Security Council Tuesday. Blix received the two letters late last week, which were dismissed by the United States as prevarications.
