Sports-loving housewives cheering for China on Asiad table tennis court

ULSAN, Oct. 2 (Xinhua) -- They waved China's national flags, held high a banner carrying Chinese characters which read "Sure Victory for China", and also chanted "Jia You" -- the Chinese word for "go", but none of them was from China or knew how to speak Chinese.

They were actually a group of ordinary South Korean housewives in the city of Ulsan, host city of the 14th Asian Games table tennis competition. But sitting inside the Dongcheon Gymnasium of Ulsan, they had assumed a special mission: to cheer on the Chinese paddlers
