Four shot dead in US university shooting

LOS ANGELES, Oct. 28 (Xinhua) -- Four people, including the shooter, were shot dead in a shooting that took place on Monday morning at the University of Arizona in western United States.

At least two professors, both female, were shot dead by a male, who apparently took his own life. Police originally said three people had died. The fourth victim was said to be a college staff member, the NBC TV reported.

The shooting reportedly occurred at the College of Nursing, where the first shots were heard around 8:30 a.m. Pacific Time, when students were taking midterm exams, the reports said.
