Libya will not quit Arab League: Moussa

CAIRO, Nov. 14 (Xinhua) -- Arab League chief Amr Moussa said on Thursday Libya will not quit the 22-member pan-Arab forum, to the relief of many member states that Libya's withdrawal may produce a "snowball" effect.

"Libya will not withdraw from the Arab League," Moussa told reporters, while dismissing as "groundless" reports about Qatar's intention to leave the pan-Arab organization.

On Oct. 24, Libya informed the Arab League of its intended departure.
