Sri Lankan PM calls for regional free trade
COLOMBO, Dec. 20 (Xinhua) -- Sri Lankan Prime Minister Ranil
Wickremesinghe on Friday called for the establishment of a free
trade area among a grouping of five countries in Asia to strengthen
their economic cooperation.
Speaking at a ministerial meeting of BIMST-EC or Bangladesh,
India, Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand economic cooperation,
Wickremesinghe said that the most important way of cooperation in
the grouping will be the establishment of a free trade area.
