Nigerian president seeks presidential nomination

LAGOS, Oct. 24 (Xinhua) -- Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo has sought the presidential nomination in his reelection bid by formally picking the Expression of Interest Form of his party, local media reported on Thursday.

Accompanied by Inspector General of Police Tafa Balogun and his personal aides, Obasanjo went ahead to pick the presidential nomination form of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) on Wednesday at Bank of the North in the capital Abuja, the reports said.

The forms which cost 5,000 naira (about 40 US dollars) are obtainable from three designated banks, namely Bank of the North, Zenith International Bank and Hallmark ...
