Thai Food Festival 2002 opens in Beijing

BEIJING, Nov. 15 (Xinhua) -- China's first ever Thai Food Festival opened in Beijing Friday, with all the Thai restaurants in the capital showcasing traditional Thai cuisine for Chinese diners during the next two months.

Thailand's Ambassador to China Don Pramudwinai said that Chinese people could increase their understanding of Thai culture through the various activities held during the food festival.
