Backgrounder: Bo'ao Forum for Asia - Tourism Conference

GUILIN, Guangxi, Nov. 17 (Xinhua) -- Bo'ao Forum for Asia - Tourism Conference, a meeting to discuss the prospects of Asia's tourism industry and related policy issues, will open next Monday in Guilin, a noted scenic city in south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

The three-day conference is expected to focus on how to further develop the travel industry in Asia and increase regional cooperation. Other major topics include the sustainable development of tourist resources, and the industry's contribution to such causes as poverty-eradication and job creation.
