Yearender: Bush administration adjusts Iraq policy over past year

WASHINGTON, Dec. 25 (Xinhua) -- Driven by domestic and
international pressures, the Bush administration has adjusted its
policy on Iraq for several times since the end of last year without
losing focus on its target.
Buoyed by a breakthrough on the battle fields of Afghanistan in
early November last year, the Bush administration quickly locked
Iraq on the screen of its anti-terror radar, vowing that it would
resort to whatever means at its disposal to overthrow Iraqi
President Saddam Hussein.
