Chinese Taipei beat Uzbekistan in Asiad women's basketball

BUSAN, Oct. 6 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Taipei beat Uzbekistan 86-61 here on Sunday in the women's basketball preliminaries of the Busan Asian Games.

Chinese Taipei, 84-60 winners over Malaysia on Saturday, claimed their second win in two days with tight defense.

"Our players are not as tall as those of Uzbekistan," said Chinese Taipei head coach Lin Hung. "But we did very well in defense today."

Chinese Taipei shot 46% from the field and held Uzbekistan to 29.9%.
