UNCTAD on potentiality of e-commerce in developing world

GENEVA, Nov. 18 (Xinhua) -- E-commerce volumes in developing countries will remain "negligible" as long as the business-to- business (B2B) end of market does not take off, warns a report released by the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) on Monday.

The report, entitled "E-commerce and Development Report 2002," says that the route to a prosperous B2B sector, and its attendant benefits for the economy at large, lies in joining regional and global supply chains.
