Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City tries to lure more investors

HANOI, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam's Ho Chi Minh City authorities are taking measures to improve land reforms and ease traffic congestion in a bid to encourage foreign and domestic investments in 2003, according to a report of Vietnam News on Monday.

Work is underway to accelerate administrative reforms and symplify site clearance procedures, said Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Le Thanh Hai.

More land is to be made available for the development of infrastructure. Authorities intend to make use of existing land reserves, transfer land-use rights, issue bonds, collect fees and tolls and sell off ...
