Zimbabwe not to discuss 2002 presidential election

HARARE, March 17 (Xinhua) -- Zimbabwean Registrar General Tobaiwa Mudede said here on Monday that he could not discuss about the 2002 presidential election because it is likely to be contested in courts by the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC).

Mudede was speaking at a press conference in Harare intended to quell the outcry on the 2002 presidential election and the state of the voters roll.

He said there had been several articles in newspapers about him having fiddled with poll results and others trying to compare the voters roll figures with the previous census.
