LAGOS -- Four persons, including two pilots, were killed and eight others injured Friday in the southern Nigerian state of Rivers when a private charter helicopter crashed, local media reported Saturday.

The helicopter, operated by Aero Contractors Company Nigeria Ltd. with 10 passengers and two pilots on board, "crashed into water near Brass terminal," said a statement issued by Andrea Forzoni, vice chairman and managing director of the Nigerian Agip Oil Company (NAOC) which chartered the plane.
