Sudan has nothing to do with mass destruction weapons: FM
KHARTOUM, Jan. 9 (Xinhua) -- Sudan's Foreign Minister Mustafa
Othman Ismail said on Thursday his country has nothing to do with
mass destruction weapons.
Refuting a report by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA)
which accused Libya, Syria and Sudan of seeking possession of mass
destruction weapons, Ismail told reporters that Sudan was a
signatory of the international treaty banning mass destruction
weapons.
"Our embassy in Washington did not receive any confirmation of
the report," he said, adding that "the US Affairs division of the
(Sudanese) Foreign Ministry asked the US Embassy in Khartoum for
