Chinese FM on Iraq, Korean Peninsula nuclear issues

UNITED NATIONS, Jan. 20 (Xinhua) -- Chinese Foreign Minister Tang Jiaxuan said here Monday that the submission of the formal report by UN weapons inspectors on 27 this month only marks a new beginning of the inspection process, rather than a full stop.

Answering questions from reporters before attending the UN Security Council ministerial meeting on the fight against terrorism, he said as both chief inspectors had expressed a need for more time because there is much more to do, "We should respect their opinion and support their work."
