Roundup: Indian-Pakistani rhetoric war on "preemptive attack"
moderated By Rong Shoujun
ISLAMABAD, April 20 (Xinhua) -- The shrill rhetoric war on a
preemptive attack between India and Pakistan has been moderated after
Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee reached out his " hand of
friendship" to Islamabad.
While the US-led coalition forces were fighting fiercely to topple
the Saddam regime in Iraq, tension in the subcontinent escalated as
Indian Foreign Minister Yashwant Sinha stated early this month that
India had a much better case to go for a preemptive action against
Pakistan than the United Sates had in Iraq.
