Nigeria's Super Eagles urged to work harder

LAGOS, May 31 (Xinhua) -- Regardless of its defeat of Ghana at the opening of the LG Cup on Friday in the capital Abuja, some Nigerian sports administrators including top officials of the main organizing committee of the 8th All Africa Games (COJA) have urged the Super Eagles to work harder.

COJA's General Manager Alhaji Mainasara Ilo on Saturday told reporters that the Super Eagle need to work harder because the Nigerian people hope for"a stronger Nigerian team to emerge".

Ilo said: "the Eagles played well even without the usual big names. The new boys displayed some cohesion and understanding. It is hoped that a strong team will soon emerge."
