Lana Lawrence helps educate mental health professionals and law
enforcement officials on the effects of incest. She is testifying
today before the Virginia General Assembly's legislative study
committee in Richmond on victim court testimony in child sexual abuse
cases.
In 1984, Lawrence graduated from Cincinnati College of Mortuary
Science and is a licensed funeral director. She recommends the
following books for further information on incest:
- "Incest and Sexuality: A Guide to Understanding and Healing" by
Wendy Maltz and Beverly Holman (Lexington Books).
- "Betrayal of Innocence: Incest and Its Devastation" by Susan
Forward, MSW, and Craig Buck (Penguin Books).
