WASHINGTON, May 6 (Xinhua) -- The New Jersey Nets drilled six free throws when the game was on the line to beat the Boston Celtics 97- 93 in their first game of the Eastern Conference semifinal series on Monday.

Kenyon Martin and Jason Kidd shot 6-of-7 on free throws in the final 45 seconds when the Nets held off the comeback of Boston.

The Nets had a 91-90 lead when Martin was fouled trying to dunk with 45 seconds left. Celtics forward Antoine Walker were fouled out on the play and Martin made 1-of-2 free throws.
