Signed article rebuts US report on China's religious freedom (1)
BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Dong Yunhu, vice-chairman and
secretary-general of the China Society for the Study of Human Rights,
on Friday reprimanded a distorted report by the United States on
China's religious freedom.
In his signed article, Dong noted that the 2003 Report of the
United States Commission on International Religious Freedom ( USCIRF)
released on May 13, the fourth annual report of the commission, again
passed itself off as the "Judge of the World's Human Rights,"
hoisting "the banner of safeguarding religious freedom" while hurling
false accusations against religious freedom in developing countries.
