Turkish Cypriot's decision on movement illegal: Cypriot government

NICOSIA, April 22 (Xinhua) -- The Cypriot government on Tuesday termed as "illegal" a decision by the Turkish Cypriot side to lift most restrictions on the movement of people between the island's two sides.

"This decision is illegal, it is an attempt to divert the attention of the international community from the negative stance of the Turkish side with regard to the UN peace effort to find a negotiated settlement," government spokesman Kypros Chrisostomides said.
