Nigeria to begin trials of satellite-based air navigation systems

LAGOS, June 19 (Xinhua) -- The Nigerian Airspace Management Agency (NAMA) will begin trails and demonstrations of satellite- based air navigation systems on Friday, local newspaper This Day reported Thursday.

NAMA's Managing Director Alhaji Yusuf Mohamed was quoted as saying that the trials were expected to ascertain the level and accuracy of signals obtained from the satellite system for air navigation within the Nigerian airspace.
