US Democratic presidential candidate wins 12 union endorsements

WASHINGTON, Aug. 20 (Xinhua) -- US Democratic presidential candidate Richard Gephardt has won the endorsement of 12 unions in his bid to get full support of the AFE-CIO in the Democratic presidential contest.

Gephardt, a Representative from Missouri, got the support of the Paper, Allied-Industrial, Chemical and Energy Workers union with 300,000 members Wednesday.
