Two Abu Sayyaf bandits killed in southern Philippines

MANILA, Sept. 13 (Xinhua) -- Two members of the Abu Sayyaf group were killed Saturday in a clash with government troops in the southern Philippine island of Basilan, the military said.

A picture of al-Qaeda terrorist network leader Osama bin Laden, two flags with Arab writing and documents written in Arabic were recovered at the clash site in Tipo-tipo town, Armed Forces Public Information Office chief Lieutenant Colonel Daniel Lucero said.

"The seizure of these items only proves that the Abu Sayyaf indeed has links with the terrorist organization founded by Osama bin Laden," ...
