Plans to build a pub and holiday cottages in a North Cornwall
beauty spot have been turned down on appeal by a Government planning
inspector.
Lanecare Ltd had wanted to demolish the existing Tredrea Inn at
Porthcothan Bay near Padstow and replace it with a new pub,
restaurant and a terrace of holiday cottages.
The proposal infuriated local residents who banded together to
fight the plan.
