After watching extensive film of Oklahoma State, Pitt recognized
that Cowboys leading scorer James Anderson was the catch-and-shoot
type who used a jab step to create space between himself and
defenders.
So, the Panthers never gave Anderson room to breathe.
Whether it was shadowing him on screens, bumping him in the lane
or pressuring him on the perimeter, Pitt smothered the 6-foot-6
freshman forward into submission.
Just as Anderson went cold, the Panthers got hot Saturday
afternoon in an 85-68 victory at Petersen Events Center.
No. 11 Pitt used a 26-9 run to end the first half with an 18-
