Our phone continues to ring off the hook. Yesterday I counted 13
cats that people wanted to relinquish in addition to all the puppies
(and mothers) that no one wants. It's a never-ending cycle that we
deal with year after year. We talk about responsible pet ownership,
we talk about spaying and neutering, we talk about socializing your
pet, we talk about proper nutrition, we talk about training, we talk
about commitment. Sometimes I wonder if anyone is listening.
When an animal arrives at Happy Tails, they are spayed/neutered,
given all appropriate vaccinations, microchipped, wormed plus any
other necessary treatments the vet thinks is appropriate. They are
