JEFFERSON CITY - Clinging to a seven-point lead late in the third
quarter last night at Adkins Stadium, the top-ranked Rock Bridge
football team was beginning to build a strong case for losing yet
another game to Jefferson City after the Jays blocked a 27-yard field-
goal attempt by Brandon Gerau.
- Since bolting to a three-touchdown lead in the first quarter,
Rock Bridge had scored only once more, allowing Jefferson City to
gradually claw its way back into the game.
- Two of Rock Bridge's top players, Scott Concannon and Aron
White, were suffering from a bout of stomach flu that caused them to
throw up before and during the game.
