After playing and practicing most of the season on the FieldTurf
at Rock Bridge Field, Kirby Keth has reintroduced his players to the
unfamiliar feel of natural grass under their feet.
Complete with unexpected bumps, mud and patches of barren earth,
the Rock Bridge boys soccer team practiced on its old practice field
to get a feel for the conditions it will face in its Class 3 District
10 semifinal game with Jefferson City tonight in Camdenton.
Top-seeded Helias faces No. 5 Smith-Cotton in the other semifinal.
As if getting through the stingy Jefferson City defense wasn't
hard enough - the Jays have 13 shutouts on the season and have
allowed just 15 goals in 25 games - a less-than-perfect ...
