Some of the most vivid memories from the first three years of the
True/False Film Festival have come not from the moving images
presented in front of us, but instead from the sounds surrounding the
entire scene.
Organizers have embraced the psych-pop stylings of bands such as
Of Montreal and The Apples in Stereo - who will headline this year -
for True/False's Saturday night concert at The Blue Note. And they've
been ahead of the electronic curve by securing acts such as Girl Talk
- before the blowup - for their late opening-night bashes down under
at Uprise.
But, throughout, the buskers have owned the weekend. Whether
