JEFFERSON CITY - Rock Bridge girls basketball Coach Jill Nagel was
hoping her seventh-ranked team would to come off the bus shooting
entering last night's Class 5 District 10 semifinal against third-
seeded Jefferson City.
Instead, the second-seeded Bruins came out missing.
Rock Bridge's first possession resulted in a Claire Schaeperkoeter
airball and a miss underneath the basket by Katherine Harry.
But after allowing Jefferson City to score the game's first four
points, Schaeperkoeter started a string of three straight 3-pointers
by the Bruins that put them in front for good on the way to a 49-34
victory at Fleming Fieldhouse.
