Fulton soon will join the ranks of Missouri cities hosting a
biodiesel production plant after the city council voted this week to
push forward with plans to give the development company a 15-acre
parcel between the Harbison-Walker refractory plant and the Dollar
General distribution center.
Construction on the plant - expected to produce 10 million gallons
a year initially - is planned to start next month, and production
should begin a year later.
Fulton businessman Boyd Ware, owner of Ware Construction Inc.,
heads an investment group that formed Central Missouri Energy LLC to
build the $7 million plant.
