Puppy mills or breeding facilities - whatever you call them, they all make me sick. Over the years, TV and newspaper stories have highlighted the problems associated with puppy mills. Dogs are usually held in small, stacked wire kennels barely big enough to turn around in. Day after day, year after year, they live out their lives in these horrible places only to produce litter after litter for hungry profiteers. Many of the "hobby breeders" stack their kennels up in the basement or in barn areas to try to hide the fact they have unlicensed breeding programs. We have rescued many, many dogs from these deplorable conditions over the years.
