ARLINGTON, Texas - Ian Kinsler sat below his Texas Rangers jersey
joking with teammate Frank Catalanotto two hours before the second
game of a three-game home series against the Boston Red Sox last
weekend. Catalanotto handed Kinsler a crudely matted photo and walked
away. Kinsler shook his head and smiled.
It was the only smile in the locker room of the worst team in
baseball.
"Look at that," Kinsler said, pointing to the photo taken last
year of Catalanotto as a Blue Jay taking out Kinsler's legs during a
double play. "He's lucky he's on my team now."
Lucky is a relative term for a team whose bright spots are as rare
