Article: COOL DRY PLACE `Sopranos' deserves stellar send-off

I came to "The Sopranos" late in the game, always somewhat skeptical of the seemingly ridiculous praise it received in its first couple of seasons on the air.

By the time I got hold of a DVD player and caught up with the series one long winter weekend a few years back, however, there was no doubt that its status as one of the most groundbreaking and influential television franchises we've witnessed was legit.

Oh, it "pulled me in," and it paved the way for a cable revolution that catapulted HBO and Showtime to the top of the television world.

As our time with Tony Soprano and his family - both nuclear and Cosa Nostra - comes to an end, here's hoping that in Sunday's series
