Somerset's James Hildreth has underlined his case for being the
next batsman to be called up for the England Test team with his
impressive showings for the England Performance Programme during
their month-long tour to India, which concluded at the weekend.
In the two matches that the EPP XI played, the 23-year-old scored
134 off 130 balls in the first match, which he followed up with 63
in the second.
Both Hildreth's efforts were innings which will enhance his
chances of being included in the England Lions' squad for their tour
to India, which begins at the end of January.
Back at the County Ground this week, the batsman, who scored
1,000 County Championship runs for the first time in 2007, ...
