CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Dec. 17, 2004) - WestJet (TSX:WJA) will commence its new non-stop service from Vancouver to Los Angeles, California on December 19. WestJet will offer a daily non-stop flight between Vancouver and Los Angeles, with connecting service available from other WestJet destinations in Canada.

WestJet currently offers approximately 218 non-stop departures per week from Vancouver to 10 destinations.

Sean Durfy, WestJet's Executive Vice President, Marketing and Sales, said today, "We are very excited to be launching our new non- stop service from Vancouver to Los Angeles today. These daily non- stop flights to L.A. are a part of our recent expansion into the U.S.
