OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 7, 2005) - In partnership
with the government of Canada's One-tonne Challenge, five community
groups were selected by Go for Green to organize a Commuter Challenge
event outside the national initiative. The Commuter Challenge is a
friendly competition between Canadian communities and organizations
to encourage the use of sustainable modes of transportation to and
from work.
In particular, Go for Green would like to congratulate the Resort
Municipality of Whistler for its highly successful Whistler Way
Commuter Challenge held from September 22 to October 6, 2004. As the
first Challenge registered outside the national event, it definitely
