Article: DFO Seeks Input to Future Management of Wild Atlantic Salmon

DARTMOUTH, NOVA SCOTIA--(CCNMatthews - April 29, 2005) - The Honourable Geoff Regan, Minister of Fisheries and Oceans Canada (DFO), today announced that stakeholders, Aboriginal groups and provincial governments will be asked to comment on a renewed approach to managing wild Atlantic salmon.

DFO will present a draft framework to aid discussions, and broad consultations will take place across Atlantic Canada and Quebec. The initial consultations will begin in May.
