VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - May 3, 2005) - Finning
International Inc. ("Finning") (TSX:FTT) announced today that its
South American Mining division has secured the sale of 15 pieces of
Caterpillar equipment to Minera El Tesoro, a part of the Antofagasta
Minerals Group in Chile; and 19 pieces of Caterpillar equipment to
Washington Group International, the mining contractor for Minera San
Cristobal in Bolivia.
The new equipment package for Minera El Tesoro is worth C$31
million and includes nine 793C off-highway trucks, three 994D front
end loaders, a 769D WT truck, a D9T bulldozer and a 16H motor grader.
