OTTAWA, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 4, 2006) - The Honourable
Greg Thompson, Minister of Veterans Affairs, today announced two
appointments to the Veterans Review and Appeal Board (VRAB). The
Board provides Veterans, Canadian Forces personnel, Royal Canadian
Mounted Police, and certain civilians and/or their dependants a
review and appeal mechanism for disability pension or award decisions
and for final appeals on War Veterans Allowance decisions made by
Veterans Affairs Canada.

with more than 8,000 reviews and appeals yet to be heard. Additional
