BRANTFORD, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 30, 2006) - Wescast
Industries Inc. ("Wescast")(TSX:WCS.A) announced today the official
opening of a sales and engineering office in the Hongqiao district of
Shanghai, China. The office will support Wescast's recently announced
expansion into Asia, which provides for the establishment of an
integrated foundry and machining facility in Wuhan, Hubei Province,
China. The new sales and engineering office will also support all of
Wescast's current and future customers in China.
