TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - June 18, 2007) - The Canadian
chapters of the International Association of Business Communicators
(IABC) have announced the analysis of the Canadian respondents to the
2006 salary survey and have discovered the annual base salary for
communication professionals has risen 19% since 2003.
The survey (the first since 2003) found the annual base salary of
communicators had a median of $70,000 (which is a 19.3% increase from
2003's $58,665). It found 43% of respondents reported a salary
increase of at least 10%, and 18% experienced an increase of at least
20%. The survey also found the roles and organizational importance of
