Article: Drilling Commences at Lero's Karchiga VHMS Target, Kazakhstan

LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM--(CCNMatthews - July 23, 2007) - Lero Gold Corp. ("Lero", or the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:LER) is pleased to announce the commencement of a 2,500m diamond drilling programme at the Karchiga volcanic hosted massive sulphide deposit (VHMS), north east Kazakhstan.

Lero has completed a review of available historic Soviet data and designed this drilling programme to validate historic results from the Karchiga central ("KC") zone and to test the lesser explored Karchiga north east ("KNE") zone of the deposit. Mineralisation on the two ore bodies is interpreted to strike in excess of 1,000m with much of the KNE mineralised envelope blind to surface.
