Article: City Dock Readied For a Surge of Boats; New Sailing and Power Vessels Exhibited Over 2 Long Weekends

The transformation of City Dock into a huge floating marina started early Monday. As the sun rose over the Chesapeake Bay, contractors, electrical technicians and designers began creating a world-class boat basin. Temporary pilings now anchor floating docks assembled in 20-foot sections secured by 636 3/4-inch bolts.

It is all part of the preparation for Annapolis to host two of the most renowned boat shows and exhibitions in the world.
